A Letter from a Fan
I am a strong supporter of womens lib, myself. I read the article in the Maverick yesterday, I felt almost as if you had sent me a personal letter. I was deeply moved I sat and cried for quite a bit. I am a 40 (Feb.) year old with two boys, I've always worked in a mans world. I feel that I too lack that bit of confidence to go after alot of what I want. To get to the point I was asking a friend how one becomes a helldorado girl? The reply I got was, "you need to be young and pretty." I figured well that leaves me out, I'm going to be 40 soon and I'm not you'r pin up type. I have always been a tom-boy! I've been a wildland firefighter, an animal trainer for motion pictures, worked rodeos and worked at my dads feed store bucking semi loads of hay I was logging at last job, and a hard days work makes me feel good about myself. Not to prove anything to anybody, except myself. I just wanted to say I apploud you ladies(bravo) for making the plain janes feel beautiful and to were they can see it for themselves. Just a thought a 40 year old calender, they say I'm supposed to be in my prime times at 40. I'd love to see one for ladies 40 and over. Just a thought. KEEP UP THE AWESOME WORK!
